We've been getting lots of questions about soccer gear and balls.
Players should have soccer cleats that looser rather than tighter as their feet can swell while playing, and gives them room to grow during the next three months.
I have several pairs of cleats available for exchange free of charge at 2633 Applegate in Clovis 96611. Bring your old cleats and swap for a larger size if available. These will be on my porch between now and Jamboree. Come any time daylight to 10pm or so, the porch light should be on. You can also just drop off your old cleats to add to the supply if you have them.
Soccer Balls should be brought to each practice (and Jamboree.)
U6 and U8 players use a SIZE #3 soccer ball.
U10 and U12 players use a SIZE #4 soccer ball.
Pro Soccer at the SW corner of Herndon and Willow has a good selection and I have found the owner/operator to be very helpful in making appropriate selections for my kids. They have good prices and may have a special package for cleats/shin guards/and a ball for Freedom Players for $39.99.
Gear is also available at Big 5, Walmart, Target, and Second String Sports as well as many other outlets.
